Robert Herbert McClean is an Irish experimental writer and audio-visual artist. He holds an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London. He was awarded the Miriam Allot Poetry Prize by the University of Liverpool, where he achieved an MPhil in Creative and Critical Writing.
He was Artist in Residence at Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery, 2013, and Writer in Residence at The Curfew Tower, Cushendall, curated by the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry, Queen’s University, 2014. In 2015 he collaborated with Max Höfler for Feinde: An Austrian Enemies Project, producing a multimedia performance and gallery installation.
His films have been screened at the Belfast Film Festival and the Fastnet Short Film Festival. He is currently writing a psychogeographical exploration of the province of Ulster. He was born in 1982.
